I'm so not a professional blogger

I am by no means a professional blogger. I sort of stumbled into blogging by accident. In all honesty, I’m quite impressed that I have made it five months with this blog. I’m quite famous for having a million new hobbies and grandiose ideas that either never come to fruition, or fizzle after weeks of holding my interest. I think I am on to something with this whole blog-hobby.

In case you don’t know, there are blogging rules of etiquette. I don’t do well with normal etiquette rules, so the odds are not in my favor. In fact, I pretty much know I’d screw it up and earn a LARGE SCARLET LETTER S on my forehead if I attempted to engage in professional blog activities.

However, one thing I am a sucker for is comments. It makes my day when people leave comments on my blog. It makes it a little less lonely here at I Used to be Witty and makes me feel slightly less like I am just entertaining the voices in my head. Okay, I don’t have voices in my head, but you get the point. So, with all of that being cleared up, I am going to play on SITS. Readers, go check them out for some great blog links. Bloggers, go check them out to get linked up!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with entertaining the voices in your head. Wait, right? If it's wrong, please don't tell me.

Also, you're entertaining the voices in my head, so thank you.

I see nothing wrong with entertaining voices in your head, either. I do it daily. I have enjoyed your blog, since I found it a week ago. On an another note, I was sorry to hear about your birthday. I have those birthdays every year. I am looking forward to all your new posts. So, keep entertaining those voices, then tell us all about it. :-)

The voices in your head have some pretty good ideas. ^_^ And if it's any consolation, I think you're witty.

The SITS thing is great! I got 36 comments yesterday with their crazy blogathon -- and I saw some really cool blogs along the way...the blogroll keeps getting longer and longer!

I also stumbled across a great little blog called Best Post of the Week, where you can send in your best post each week and then go and check out the others. I have a little button link on my blog -- it is green -- if you want to check it out. I'll try and find the link and paste it here too--http://bestpostsoftheweek.blogspot.com/

SITS seems to be a good way to get commenting readers to your blog!

I love comments too, probably one of the reasons I leave so many.

So today my comment is, "You're a GREAT blogger!"

I read your blog everyday and love it! I don't have kids, so I can't truly relate, but I completely understand. Oh, and thanks for the SITS link. I had never heard of it before. I'm trying to get a following for my blogs, so that site was very helpful to me. Thanks!

I found your blog a little while ago through someone else's blog roll. So, I'm sending you some comment appreciation.

I hear you on comments~ all the hits in the world don't matter much if people aren't commenting. When I get one it makes me smile and think "wow- people are actually READING what I'm writing and not just clicking through?" Its like seeing how many people favorite you in your statistics. You mean, people really LIKE me?!?! grade school rejection hangs strong doesn't it?!

I also start a zillion different things and then drop them but blogging seems to be sticking for me. Something about providing material for voyeurs... don't know. Looks like you're sticking with it too. Merry Belated SITSmas!

Your gonna love SITS, it will feed the comment cravings we all have!

On a side note, have you made friends with those voices in your head, you might get great material for a future post :)

Keep up the great blogging.

I have many voices in my head. They are rather naughty though and I turn them into my romance book characters. lol

Love this post! Darling.

p.s. I have to entertain the voices in my head as well. Aslo, I'm in the same boat w/ you......I also use to be witty. I think I still might be a little bit, but I use to be MORE witty than I am now.

I am new to SITS also.. my blog is as old as my newborn colicky lil princess.... 3 months.

Its so funny you say you are known for comming up with new hobbies etc... and them fizzling out. I am the SAME WAY. I cant imagine how flaky people think I am, cause I know how flaked out I feel when hopping from new idea to better new idea. lol :)
